Hills Ford Stages Rally huge success for Shropshire
Wed Sep 23rd, 2026

Shropshire Rural Support was delighted to partner with the Hills Ford Stages Rally to run the spectator car park at the Linley Stage near Bishops Castle – an opportunity that brought together motorsport fans, our wonderful volunteers and the local rural community.
With no idea quite how many spectators would arrive, there was a little apprehension beforehand. Those concerns soon disappeared as hundreds of visitors made their way to the hairpin bend at Linley to enjoy a fantastic day of rallying.
Our team of volunteers were out early and spent the day helping visitors park safely and efficiently, welcoming spectators and supporting the smooth running of the car park. The feedback from visitors was fantastic, with many commenting on the cheerful, friendly and helpful manner of the SRS volunteers.
The weather certainly helped, but it was the enthusiasm and commitment of our volunteers that really made the day.
Across the Hills Ford Stages Rally weekend, including our car-parking fundraising at Weston Park and Linley, we raised an incredible £2,506.20 for Shropshire Rural Support.
We would like to say a huge thank you to James and Diana Moores of Linley Hall Estate (and their welcoming staff) for the opportunity to raise funds and awareness.
We would also like to thank every SRS volunteer who gave up their time to make the weekend such a success. From directing traffic and parking vehicles to welcoming spectators and taking payments, every contribution helped.
For Shropshire Rural Support, events like this are about more than fundraising. They give us the opportunity to meet people from across the county, raise awareness of the support available and demonstrate the strength of our rural community.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Hills Ford Stages Rally and helped make it such a successful weekend for Shropshire Rural Support.
